The Workplace Research Application Program (WRAP) is a center housed within Portland State University’s industrial-organizational psychology program that offers a variety of evidence-based professional services to public and private organizations. As scientists and practitioners, we apply psychological principles to the workplace to help organizations identify best practices and foster greater productivity and well-being for employees.
WRAP offers a broad range of professional services to organizations of all sizes. We partner with organizations to implement evidence-based solutions that produce results aligned with their goals. All recommendations are tailored to fit individual client needs.
Former and Current Clients Include:
LifeWorks Northwest ● Portland State University Campus Recreation ● Partners in Diversity ● U.S. Forest Service ● Oregon Department of Corrections ● Ruby Receptionists
WRAP leverages the scientific expertise of PSU faculty to offer organizations a wide range of solutions tailored to specific needs. Portland State University faculty lead research teams and are assisted by current doctoral students in the I-O psychology program. Typical services include meeting with organizational leaders and conducting needs assessments to establish goals, implementing customized action plans, and sharing results and feedback with leadership. Through WRAP, doctoral students gain valuable training experiences outside of the classroom through the direct application of diverse research skills and methodologies. In line with PSU’s mission to “let knowledge serve the city,” we strive to offer affordable services to the surrounding Portland community.
